Exhibition 2009 - Robots That Move
RoboDays presents a different and inspiring exhibition
that invites you to experience the hidden aspects
of technology, and allows you to touch, sense and
experience the latest in robot technology for homes,
science and industry. Experience technology of the
highest calibre. Visit the interactive sensory room and
explore the infinite potential of robots first-hand.
September 10. 2009 - September 12. 2009
DK 5000 Odense C (in the area of Brandts)
At the exhibition you can meet robots in three categories:

Robots for homes: See how robots can play with
you, perform practical chores and generally make everyday life more
fun.
Robotter for research: See the latest and most
fascinating, strange and pioneering robotic inventions developed by
universities and the business world.
Robots for industry and service: See industrial
robots that take care of the boring work, and service robots that
present new opportunities in care and health.
See what other
robots you also can meet on Robots That Move
The exhibition paints a nuanced and visionary view of how robots
already in our immediate future will be a necessary and useful part
of our lives.
Robots That Move - PLAY
RoboDays brings robots into children's play and releases the
surprising potential of robot technology.
In 2009, University College Lillebælt, Designskolen Kolding and
Center for Playware collaborated to find new ways of using play to
make robots a part of our lives. Here, robot technology is used for
everyday tasks and with tongue-in-cheek humour. A number of
companies have participated in the work of gathering inspiration
for new robot products that use play to perform tasks in new
ways.
Hear the people behind the project explain their ideas and see
their prototypes at RoboDays robot festival.
Location:
Kulturmaskinen og Farvergården, 5000 Odense C
Time:
Thursday 10th September 9.00 am - 5.00 pm
Friday 11th Sseptember 9.00 am - 6.00 pm
Saturday 12th September 10.00 am - 4.00 pm
Robots That Move - LEARNING
Can an octopus teach you how to add fractions? And can you paint
with a robot? At the robot festival, you can meet a true maths
genius robot that will give all maths teachers grey hair, and you
can make a PaintBot paint works of art with just a few
commands.
Try out robot technology in a new and lively manner that makes
science and technology exciting and tangible. Explore what art,
humans and machines have in common. Is robot technology just for
scientists or is it much simpler than that? KnowledgeLab suggests
some possible answers, and you can decide for yourself.
Experience first-hand how technology can coope-rate with humans
and how you can play your way to knowledge that is otherwise
difficult to assimilate. For example, the robot octopus can teach
you how to add fractions through play.
KnowledgeLab presents the robots, which were developed in
cooperation with Mikro Værkstedet A/S and PlayAlive A/S.

Robots That Move - EDUCATION
RoboDays presents the ultimate interactive sensory room. 85
students from around the world combine robots, sensor technology,
teaching and interactive design to provide transformational
experiences for young people with social problems by challenging
their relationship to their surroundings.
This unique collaboration bridging geographic and professional
borders represents the education of to-morrow, where cooperative
learning makes it possible for students to create innovative
results across borders. With their individual skills and culture,
they pave the way for new innovation and idea development.
Come and experience the students' invention and see the result
of the global cooperation at Munke Mose. The course of education
was conducted by SDE College.
Location:
Munke Mose, 5000 Odense C
Time:
Thursday 10th September 9.00 am - 5.00 pm
Friday 11th September 9.00 am - 6.00 pm

Among the exhibited robots an international prize will be
awarded. The prize goes to a robot that by RoboDays is expected to
be most likely to have a major positive impact on our lives in the
future. The winner is nominated by a jury of professionals from the
robot industry and researchers from the Danish universities.
