The Anatomy of the Robot
The play 'The Anatomy of the Robot' takes place in the Modern Anatomy Theater, where scientific research and acknowledgment are explored and turned upside down. Here the audience meet the mysterious Thomas Bartholin, who is obsessed with the idea of reaching into the heart of human existence and to understand what distinguishes humans from machines and robots.

By his side he has his research colleague Maria Lentz, who has
created a robot double called Ekko; an accurate copy of a human
being. Bartholin is full of admiration for her work, but it turns
out that she has not told the whole truth about the creation of
Ekko.
Soon it is clear that both Maria Lentz and Thomas Bartholin is
driven by other and far more personal motives than scientific
ambitions. In the Anatomical Theater - on the edge between dream
and reality, theater and lecture - not all is as it purports to
be.

Contemporary Art and Robotics
The Anatomy of the Robot and the cooperation between RoboDays
and the Center of Arts and Science is part of an effort to create
an artistic environment between the interaction of art and
technology. An environment that can profile and develop RoboDays
and the Region of Southern Denmark as innovative platforms. Besides
Center of Arts and Science also Kunsthallen Brandts, Funen Art
Academy, Tone Space at Vestjysk Musikkonservatorium and Giben
Scandinavia A/S take part in the cooperation.
Notion is supported by the Research Council for Culture and
Communication and the European Regional Development Fund.
